The main change to this double bay villa was to move the entrance to the side freeing up the west facing rooms to make a large open plan kitchen, dining and family room, opening out on to a sun drenched deck, lifted up above the footpath. We lifted the ceiling up in this room to follow the slope of the roof, a series of skylights were added on the north section of the roof to scoop light in and to ventilate the house. Double glazed windows, extra insulation and radiators make for a cosy warm family home. The extension out to the rear includes the main bedroom and another living/music room, these lead out to a small courtyard and a back garden.
